Fabiano Cangelosi is a criminal defence lawyer and civil litigator practising from Hobart in Tasmania. Fabiano has elected to practise solely as a barrister, in order to focus on his area of expertise — defending people in court facing all kinds of charges, and overseeing the progress of their cases to trial to ensure that they have the very best defence.
Before being called to the bar, Fabiano practised at the Launceston firm of Rae & Partners from 2011 to 2014, and from 2014 to 2017 at the Hobart firm of Simmons Wolfhagen, where he developed a criminal defence practice in the Southern region of Tasmania, based on forceful advocacy, robust cross-examination, and legal knowledge, in addition to maintaining a practise in building disputes, defamation law, and criminal prosecution work for a number of Local Governments of offences under the Local Government Act 1993, the Building Act 2000, the Building Act 2016, and the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993.
Admitted to Practice: 19 August 2011
